Colleague Feedback & 360 Appraisal

Independent multi-source feedback gathered through Mr Hussain's General Medical Council appraisal. Fifteen colleagues from across the surgical, theatre, nursing and administrative teams rated his practice, anonymously and in confidence.

What is 360 feedback?

Assessed by the people who work alongside him

Every doctor in the United Kingdom takes part in 360 degree multi-source feedback (MSF) as part of annual appraisal and five-yearly revalidation with the General Medical Council. Colleagues from across the multidisciplinary team are invited to rate the doctor, anonymously and independently, against the standards set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice. The responses are collected and analysed by an external provider, so the doctor cannot see who said what, and cannot alter the result.

Mr Hussain's most recent report, completed in January 2025 by Equiniti 360 Clinical, gathered responses from fifteen colleagues. The full report is reproduced further down this page in its entirety.

How colleagues rated each area of practice

Colleagues rated Mr Hussain on nine areas of clinical practice and teamwork. Across every domain, all scored responses fell in the Good or Outstanding range; not one colleague rated any area below average. His average scores sat above both the Trauma & Orthopaedics speciality benchmark and the national average for every domain.

Number of colleague responses at each rating, from 15 raters. Where a rater selected “unable to comment”, the scored total for that domain is fewer than 15.
